Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A group of nineteen stamped lead bullae (singular: bulla). Each bears a different symbol. Bullae are round amulets made to be worn by free-born Roman children. Size: 0.75" W (1.9 cm)
Provenance: ex-Davis collection, Houston, Texas, acquired before 2013 from various auction houses in London and New York
