Description
Glass pitcher of a Victorian Lady Cyclist. Commonly called “Bicycle Girl” has two panels of a lady riding with her feet resting on foot rests near the fork crown. Each panel has the lady riding in the opposite direction. Pressed pattern glass made by Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton Co. of Findlay, Ohio. 10-7/8” tall x 7-1/2” widest. Made circa 1895. Illustrated in The Standard Encyclopedia Of Pressed Glass – 1860 to 1930, 4th Edition by Bill Edwards and Mike Carwile. Small chip to base. Other distress. Good overall.
