Diné [Navajo] Crystal Textile, ca. 1915-1930
handspun wool, natural and aniline dyes
The hand-woven rug of medium/fine eave is decorated with columns of serrated diamonds and half diamonds, comprised of concentric bands of orange, red, white, brown, and tan on a grey ground. Smaller serrated diamonds in black, cream and tan occupy spaces between the larger diamonds. The border is a plain black band. One end of the rug has areas of old repair.

Condition
The rug is in overall very good condition. Sides A and B equal in coloration and toning.
