Suite of Ten Neoclassical-Style Ebonized Chairs

comprised of eight sidechairs with curved backs and scroll-cut motifs, h. 40", w. 20", d. 19", and a pair of swivel bar stools of like form with scrolled arms, h. 49-1/2", w. 22", d. 22".

All chairs are sturdy and solid with no movement observed in the legs or backs. The swivel chairs turn freely. There is considerable rubbing, loss and wear to the finish throughout, most notably on the perimeter edges. The bulk of that wear appears to have been done by design to create a distressed appearance. The upholstery is in very good plus condition, with no tears or notable stains.
