Description
Lieb, Leonard (American/Pittsburgh, 1912-1977), Pittsburgh Hill District Cityscape late 1930's or early 1940's, oil on masonite, 24 x 27 inches, signed Leonard Lieb lower right corner, A great American Scene treatment of the Hill District neighborhood in the late 1930's or early 1940's in Lieb's naïve style. Lieb was a Pittsburgh painter of genre scenes who was born in Poland (1912-1977); his work has been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Three of his oils are in the collection of the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, Greensburg, PA.
Condition
