Herend hand painted partial porcelain service in the 'Queen Victoria’ VBO (avec bord en or) green pattern with gilt details and decorated with butterflies, floral blossoms, and peonies, comprising 12 dessert plates, 10 cups, 10 saucers, 1 oatmeal bowl, 1 covered sugar bowl, 1 creamer, and 1 teapot, with stamps and marks to undersides. Teapot 7” H x 12.5” diameter. Provenance: Property from the estate of Arnold Neustadter, inventor of the Rolodex. Note: Herend unveiled this pattern inspired by the Far East at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851 and Queen Victoria ordered a service in this pattern for Windsor Castle, subsequently it was renamed in her honor.
