Description
A Chinese famille rose square cup dating from the early 19th century. The interior is glazed turquoise and the exterior features scenes of courtly life. The bottom has a 6-character mark.
Dimensions are: 2 inches tall X 3 1/4 inches wide, 5.1 cm X 8.3 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in overall good condition.
Provenance: From Mr. Zaun's collection in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Zaun lived in Taiwan with his wife from 1967-68 where his interest in Chinese history and artifacts blossomed. Lots 100-105 from our Nov 14, 2020 auction were from Mr. Zaun's collection.
