Item Details

Description

A Chinese sancai ceramic water coupe shaped like a guardian lion dating from the 18/19th century with a hardwood stand. The lion has a ball. The opening on top is in the shape of a quatrefoil.

Dimensions are: 2 1/2 inches tall X 5 1/2 inches wide, 6.4 cm X 14 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: Age appropriate wear.

Provenance: From a private New York City collection. Purchased from an Alexandria, Virginia estate.
