DESCRIPTION: 19th century scrapbook of Mr. I. Newton Pierce. Documents 250th anniversary celebration of the first white settlement within the territory of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Other locations include Charlestown, Boston, Lawrence, and Andover Massachusetts. Features Circa 1850s-1890s. Includes Masonic and fraternal ephemera, invitations, newspaper clippings, badges, programs, letters, church ephemera, and more. All from the Massachusetts area. Areas of notation from Mr. Pierce. Label in cover marked Shipman's Patent Invoice & Scrapbook. Patented June 13, 1871. Marbling designed to covers, black spine reads Prescriptions. MEASUREMENTS: 15 " long x 10 " wide x 4 " high. CONDITION: Foxing to pages, areas of glue failure, wear and deterioration to covers as expected with age. IMPORTANT: Before bidding, please read the terms and conditions.
