DESCRIPTION: White Star Line six piece brass desk set from S. S. Homeric. Includes large inkwell, small inkwell marked for Homeric, picture frame, blotter, letter holder, and pen tray. Also includes postcard of the S.S. Homeric. S.S. Homeric, originally launched as Columbus, was built for Norddeutscher Lloyd and launched in 1913 at the F. Schichau yard in Danzig, Germany. The ship was renamed Homeric when purchased and operated by White Star Lines from 1922 to 1935. MEASUREMENTS: Letter holder 8-3/4 " long x 4 " deep x 7 " high; inkwells 2 " to 4 " high x 5 " to 11 " long; blotter 6 " long x 3-1/4 " wide x 3 " high; pen holder 11-1/2 " long x 3-3/4 " wide; frame 4-3/4 " wide x 6 3/4 " high.
