Description
Charles Herbert Woodbury (American, 1864-1940). Lithograph poster print on paper titled "The July Century," ca. 1896. Signed in plate along the lower left. Marked "Les Maitres de l'Affiche PL. 32, Imprimerie Chaix (Encres Lorilleux & Cie.)" along the lower left margin. This is Plate 32 from the "Maitres de L'Affiche (The Masters of the Poster)" which was a set of 256 color lithographic plates used to create an art publication during the Belle Epoque in Paris, France, published by Jules Cheret (French, 1836-1932).
