A very old bowl with flaring sides and with a bluish green celadon glaze on the exterior. The interior is predominantly an olive brown with the celadon still visible along the rim and upper portions, and the brown stoneware underneath showing through in places. Many areas on the interior where the celadon glaze is still visible display a complex crackle effect. The surface feels extremely smooth to the touch.

CONDITION

There are glaze loss on the rim and central well. The celadon glaze on the exterior is still mostly intact with only moderate transmutation along the hairline cracks. The glaze in the interior has become much more brown. There are no breaks, but there are several hairline cracks extending from the rim and chips at the foot. There are marks in black on the unglazed base.
