Description
North Pacific, Hawaii, ca. 1950s. A stunning and sizable koa wood bowl showcasing a voluminous body and a circular rim that gently curves inwards, all sitting upon a planar base. A wonderful example made from wood of the flowering Koa tree, which, interestingly, translates to "fearless warrior" in the Hawaiian language. Size: 11.625" in diameter x 5.75" H (29.5 cm x 14.6 cm)
