Description
1950s "Premiere Gum and Card Vendor" Vending Machine. Two Pennies Got You Bubble Gum and a Baseball Card. Excellent Condition. Made by OAK Mfg. Co. in the 1950s this two-cent vending machine dispensed both a gum ball and a baseball card. The original two photos facing hinted at the surprise cards inside the machine. 12¾ x 12¾ x 5" and just at 5 pounds. Machine is in great condition with very minor scratches. Mechanism works great. Examining the base, it is clear this machine was screwed onto a metal post and base but not included.
Consignor purchased vending machine but it came with no keys. He had a new key made for the top which is how the cards were loaded and the gum balls replenished. All of this in hopes of discovering some terrific cards inside which proved fun but no windfall. The pennies lock-bock has no key and a different type lock. By the sound, the box has a stash of pennies.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
