AN EDWARD VIII SILVER TABLE LIGHTER, by Wilson & Gill, Birmingham 1936, of unusual form, the disc shaped body engraved both sides with a shaped octagon, each point alternating a fleur-de-lys and a cross, surrounding a vacant octagonal cartouche, raised on a stepped rounded rectangular foot. 9.7cm high, 3.5 troy ounces gross
Condition
Marks lightly rubbed but legible - further marked with lion rampant and conforming date letter to both foot and detachable cover nozzle. Further stamped 'WILSON & GILL / 139 & 141 REGENT ST W' to base. Nozzle slightly dented at tip, small dent to foot rim underneath hallmarks. Minor bruises, light surface marks and scratches throughout commensurate with age and use
