30's/40's "Buttons & Bows" tied quilt, consisting of thousand of unique buttons attached to a wool 9-patch design made from old suiting and clothing fabrics. It measures 60" X 78" and has pieced satin back. It contains the name address of the Tennessee maker and a first place ribbon, presumedly from a local quilt contest. The border consists of smaller buttons alternating with tiny bows. A sleeve has been sewn on the back, making this ready for use as a wall hanging.
