Johann Wilhelm Weinmann, (4) botanical engravings, Johann Wilhelm Weinmann (German, 1683-1741), plates 120, 125, 126 and 127 from "Phytanthoza Iconographia", c. 1737, hand watercolored print on paper, matted and framed under glass, 13"h x 8.5"w (sight), 22"h x 16.5"w (frame)
Provenance: Furnishings from the Estate of Barbara Allen de Kwiatkowski, a Parish-Hadley Commission
Notes/Literature: Model, socialite, and Andy Warhol protege, Barbara Allen de Kwiatkowski, made her name as a young editor at Interview Magazine and as a popular subject of the Society pages. Later marrying German industrialist and polo champion Henryk de Kwiatkowski, they built a Connecticut country estate and stables, designed by architect Alan Wanzenberg and decorated by legendary interior designers Sister Parish and Albert Haley
