Description
A fine old warrior of the Pecunnie who lived until his eighty-sixth year. He was an expert sign talker. Image comes in navy blue, textured, brushed finish, hanging frame. Image: 8.5" x 11.5" Frame: 12" x 15". This is from a set of 24 full color reproduction of the Blackfeet Indians' paintings by Winold Reiss. Mr. Reiss' first Blackfeet portraits were executed in the winter of 1919, at which time he was inducted into the tribe and given the name Beaver Child. He frequently has returned to the reservation, or to Glacial National Park, during the summer, for additional portraits, which now number in the hundreds.
