Description
Hamilton Silver Mfg. Co. (American, 20th century), circa 1940. Large sterling silver compote, in the manner of Georg Jensen's grape compote, no. 264A, having a flared tom, grape decorations, twist stem with spherical elements, and rising on a spreading foot. Marked 'Hamilton/Sterling/90' to the underside. Approx. h. 9.5", dia. 10.75"; total approx. weight, 35.27 ozt.
Condition
Foot is monogrammed 'R'; stem is slightly bent; minor surface scratches consistent with age and use; no apparent repairs.
