Description

French, first half 19th century. Louis XV Vernis Martin style secretarie incorporating putti playing instruments and reading on the fall front and gilt bronze accents to legs and feet. Apparently unmarked. Approx. h. 37.75", w. 32.25", d. 18.625"

Condition

Wear commensurate with age and use. Scattered loss / flaking of lacquer, overall crazing to lacquer, and areas of oxidation to ormolu, scratch with dent to upper left on drop front and slightly above. Interior veneer with a few dryness cracks, water spots and 2.5" scratch. Structurally sound.
