Description
The inlaid mahogany display cabinet is offered with an intact collection of outstanding sea shell specimens. The openwork gallery over a band of ribbon-like veneers above two hinged doors with oval glass enclosed by book matched veneers on either side of a central showcase area - all filled with sea shells. The outset base is fitted with three lift-top showcases with banded front filled with shells, raised on tapered legs.
Measures 67.5 x 65.5 x 25 inches.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
Please be aware that this lot is too large to ship by conventional carrier such as UPS, USPS or FedEx and will instead require local pick-up, delivery by a freight carrier or delivery by a blanket-wrap shipper. The cost most likely will not be low.
