Two pieces of Tekke or Yomud Turkoman jewelry, Afghanistan, early 20th century, executed in silver metal, gold metal, and carnelian, comprising a necklace, having a rectangular pierced pendant with a pointed crest, in the form of a amulet holder, the whole appliqued in gold and set with oval carnelians, suspended from a hand woven chain with three pierced links on each side, overall drop 19"l; pendant 7"h x 6.25"w x .50"d; chain 26"l; together with an Adamlyk pendent, composed of three gold appliqued and pierced silver links, each set with a single carnelian, hung with chains terminating to bells, 19"l x 2.5"w; These pieces were exhibited at the Birmingham Museum of Art, 2016; 'Uzbekistan Ikats from the collection of Peggy Slappey.'
