German Biedermeier Gilt-Metal Mounted Mahogany Fall-Front Secretary

Of tapering form, fitted with one frieze drawer centered by a gilt-metal classical mount on an ebonized frieze, above the fall-front, opening to an ebonized writing surface and a fitted interior, above two drawers, raised on block feet.

5 ft. 4 1/2 in. x 43 x 20 in.

Condition

Expected age splits, small veneer replacements and very minor lifting throughout. Beautifully matched veneer on the front with minor nicks and scuffing. Structurally sound. Nice architectural tapering form which is rare.
