Henry Thomas Alken (London, 1785 - 1851): Partridge Hunter and 3 Retriever Dogs; Pencil Drawing & touches of Color on paper or board; titled on the old mat in pen & ink "ORIGINAL ALKEN DRAWING / FROM THE ESTATE OF LORD PORTARLINGTON"; matted and framed circa 1910 with the label of "The Museum Art Shop / 1182 Madison Ave, NYC (86th-87th Street)." Height of art 11 inches (28 cm.). X width of art 18 inches (45.7 cm.). NOTE: Probably from the estates of John Dawson, 2nd Earl of Portarlington (1781-1845), Henry John Reuben Dawson-Damer, 3rd Earl of Portarlington(1822-1889), Lionel Seymour William Dawson-Damer, 4th Earl of Portarlington (1832–1892), and/or George Lionel Henry Seymour Dawson-Damer, 5th Earl of Portarlington (1858-1900).
