Description
Set of six Kato Shubei II Celadon Bird and Flower Plates, Late 19th - 20th century. Beautifully painted seiji porcelain with gilt accents. Each with the mark "Hakuundo Shubei Sei" (Made for the White Cloud Hall by Shubei). This mark was used by Kato Shubei II (1848-1903). Kato was a famous Japanese ceramist family in Seto. Offered along with four additional Japanese celadon plates. Two with marks.
