Description

(Disneyland, c.1955) A vintage Fantasyland ashtray created by Eleanor Welborn Art Productions for Disneyland. Hand selected by Walt Disney as the first official ceramic supplier to the park prior to its opening, many of Eleanor Welborn's original souvenir designs were based on Imagineering concept art as the actual attractions had yet to be built. The ashtray features a colorful central image of Sleeping Beauty castle in the well and is marked on the reverse with maker's information. Measuring 6.25"x6.25" and 1.25" deep, the ashtray is in very good condition with crazing to the glaze throughout and some yellowing in the image.
