(Epcot, c.1987-1995) A pair of original display figures used in the earliest years of Epcot Center. The figures were displayed at the Tower gift shops, now called Port of Entry and Disney Traders, at the entrance to World Showcase. They depict Mickey's nephew Morty with an elephant. The figures were offered by Disney in 1997 at the Official Disneyana Convention, and the Disney COA is included. The figures are hand-painted and constructed of mixed media decorations and hand-carved foam. Monty stands 24" tall, and the elephant stands 32" tall. Both figures are in fair park-used condition, exhibiting some minor nicks and scratches. The right ear of the elephant has breaks, and there is cracking to the left ear, trunk, and left elbow.
