An original vintage poster for the MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer) movie entitled, "The Unfinished Dance" (1947) featuring actors Margaret O'Brien, Cyd Charisse, and Karin Booth, and introducing Danny Thomas. The plot of this movie revolved around a young ballet student named Meg who idolized Ariane Bouchet, her school's most respected ballerina. Unhappy when she learned that Darina, the visiting ballerina, would play the lead in "Swan Lake" rather than Bouchet, Meg masterminded an 'accident' that nearly resulted in Darina's death and most certainly terminated her career as a dancer. Although Meg would achieve her goal with Bouchet taking over the role, Meg would find herself rapt with guilt. A wonderful poster, impressive for its visuals and graphic design. Fold marks and some creases to edges, but over all very good. This poster is wrapped in cellophane, which could easily be removed. The dark marks at the left edge seem to be on that cellophane and not on the poster itself.
