Japanese Edo enameled bronze incense burner, having four elephant mask legs, enameled on each side depicting birds and dragons. With original wood lid and stand. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Wei Yuan Hsueh and Emily Hsueh, Dallas, Texas. Owners of the former Oriental Art Shop in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Hsueh was a Chinese government official as Consul to Jamaica and Consul to Germany prior to beginning Oriental Art Shop. Overall: 12"H x 6"W x 8.75"L, Circa - 18th-19th C.
