Y IVORY FIGURE OF AN ACOLYTE QING DYNASTY, 17TH-18TH CENTURY 清 象牙雕脅侍座像 carved seated in royal ease pose on a ruyi-decorated podium, with both hands in anjali mudra, the figure casts down in a serene expression (21cm high) Qty: (1) Footnote: Provenance: The Beal House collection, Yorkshire. Ian Colin Stewart (1949-2019), the late-owner of Beal House, lived in Hong Kong and Singapore in the 1980s before settling in North Yorkshire. The considerable amount of oriental art at Beal reflects the years he spent in the East.
