The sale of lots from this auction will directly benefit the Appalachian Mountain Club Trails Protection Fund; Conservation Research and Climate Action; and the Modernization and Preservation of the AMC Library and Archives.
The prints in this lot like hundreds of others were in many exhibitions sponsored by the AMC in the 1890s and suffered wear. Thus, these exhibition prints are being offered here at bargain prices.

Condition

1. 883 Excellent. Minorwear overall; long vertical scuff on center of print; some silver mirroring in shadow areas. Mount somewhat dirty.
2. 885 Good to Fair. Moderate wear, dirt, abrasions and scratches, some silver mirroring in shadow areas. Mount had dirt, marks, edge and corner.
3. 884 Fair to poor: Significant wear overall; multiple areas of abrasion on print, including small area of emulsion loss; long diagonal black mark extending from upper to lower edge of print and mount; some silver mirroring in image shadows; edge wear. Mount somewhat dirty, particularly at edges, with edge wear.
