The carved walnut chair with scrolled acanthus leaf motifs, foliate bandwork, and acorn finials, with a pierced splat over scrolled arms and red upholstered seat with nailhead trim atop four turned legs joined by a turned H-stretcher and an openwork front stretcher, raised overall on bun feet

Condition

Overall good condition with scattered scuffs, scratches, nicks, shrinkage cracks, and separation at joints commensurate with age. Sun fading to the upholstery. Scattered areas of rubbed wear to the finish and indentations commensurate with use throughout. Lacking two nailheads to the seat verso. More prominent shrinkage crack to back splat. Filled repair to back left leg and regluing to crest rail.
