Augustus Walker. This painting was acquired by inheritance **Note: John Augustus Walker was commissioned by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) for several public art projects in the Gulf Coast area, including murals in the old City Hall building and Smith Bakery on Dauphin Street in Mobile, Alabama.
