A Rococo style carved mahogany and faux marble center table, 19th century, the later moulded faux marble top of inverted breakfront form above a cavetto moulded frieze carved with trailing foliage and flowers and with acanthus leaf carved corners and centered by carved shells, the scroll-moulded cabriole legs carved with acanthus leaves and joined by a scrolled leaf-carved stretcher, the ends with fleur-de-lys, on scroll-carved toes with brass castors, Provenance: Sotheby's London sale 8671, November 13, 1998; lot 117, ex.
