BIOGRAPHY:
Miklos Mihalovits was Hungarian painter. He pursued his studies at the Highschool of Applied Arts and the Benczur-masterschool, Budapest. He had been on study-tours in Italy and Germany. He had exhibited since 1912. He participated in collective exhibition in Budapest in the years 1929 and 1930. He was one of the founders of the National Saloon. His art is a late representative of the Benczur school. The nearness of his master influenced his dramatic feeling for reality, the pleasure of colours and the inclination of compact composition. His art work is characterized by bright colours and temperamental shaping, which can be seen in his paintings of study heads for biblical compositions and nude figures.
