Large 9.5" Lalique Ganymede Champagne Cooler Crystal with Dancing Female FiguresLalique Ganymede Ice bucket This French crystal champagne cooler/ice bucket was designed in the mid-1950s by Marc Lalique. The design is titled Ganymede after the mythological youth kidnapped by Zeus who eventually went on to serve as his cupbearer. The exterior of the ice bucket features a pair of molded satin-finished dancing nudes executed in deep relief which is set against a background of molded grape leaves. The ice bucket itself has a traditional form with a flared body finished with two thick handles.

Lalique is a French Glassmaker, Founded by Renowned Glassmaker and Jeweler Rene Lalique in 1888.
