TRIBAL: Three African carved wood items made for the tourist trade, 20th C., including: shortened male Colonial figure with red, blue, red and black finish, pierced metal collar that may be a later addition, loss to legs and edges, 11 1/4" h.; bust of young woman with handle-like ponytail, geometric carvings to hair, 10 1/4"h.; and a crocodile mounted on plank, black and white checkered finish with red accents, strip of green and red plaid cloth applied to mouth and rear with metal brads, open mouth with teeth, checking, finish loss, plank size: 27 1/2" l., all pieces with wear consistent with age and use which may include surface loss and scratches, checking/ cracking, old damages, etc., sold as found.
