Allegorical painting "Solovetskaya Golgotha", artist Victor Cang (Russian, 20th-century), 1989. In the center, on a red chair, seats the figure of Joseph Stalin, holding a scepter and orb in the form of a skull and cannon bone with Soviet symbols. In front of the chair, kneeling, with his back to the viewer, is a figure in a red robe, probably depicting Vladimir Lenin. On the right side of the picture, there is a lying Doberman with the inscription LAVR on the collar and apparently depicting Lawrence Beria. Signed in Latin and dated lower left; also titled, signed, and dated by the artist on the reverse of the painting.
