A George III mahogany mule chest
fourth quarter 18th century
With hinged top enclosing a full width and depth compartment, the front panel faced with two faux drawers above four genuine drawers.

Condition
Structurally sound. General marks, wear, typical scuffs and scratches throughout. A few replacements to moldings. A small replaced section of scalloping to the skirt at lower right. Otherwise in generally good condition. Most brass hardware is period, there is one bail handle that is a later replacement. The lock plate to the top hinged compartment is lacking. With key.
