Exquisite Monitor Iron Works Cocktail Garden Table with black marble top with white veins. Cast iron pedestal with base that has inscription Monitor Iron Works, founder of Monitor Ebenezer G. Blakslee. Pedestal mimics NYC piping , as the company provided NYC their draining pipes and/ or steam pipes. Marble sits in a lip, very little rust. Solid piece. Measures 21.25 in ht, 12.75 in width. The ‘works’ themselves were located in Sing Sing, Westchester County in the late 1800s as it was called after the prison, which is now called Ossining, NY, but there were also offices at 76-80 Centre St., New York between 1892-1902.
