RARE RUSSIAN BADGE, 8th ASTRAKHAN DRAGOON REGIMENT
Astrakhan Dragoon Regiment of General - Field Marshal Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaevich. Silver oxidized cuirass with gold shoulder - straps with gold raised rivets on the edges. The cuirass is laid on top of the crossed broadsword and sabre with blades pointing upwards.
At the waist of the cuirass is a gold belt. In the centre of the cuirass is the gold cypher of Grand Duke Nicholas Nikolaevich and the raised gold dates 1798 and 1898.
The cuirass is beneath the gold Imperial crown with gold St. GEORGY ribbons falling from it with their ends resting on the half - wreath. Very rare !
