Buddy L Stake Bed Custom Restoration Truck Pressed Steel Toy - Offered Without Reserve - This truck started life as a wrecker or similar vehicle. The truck and chassis were given a professional level restoration with the body painted black while the chassis and center of the steel wheels were finished in a dark red. A handcrafted wooden flatbed, stakes and sideboards were created with a steel formed framing and secured to the chassis just as a real truck, with large securing U-bolts. The paint is in excellent condition and the floor of the bed is highly varnished, the sideboards and stakes are removable and were hand-painted for the Smokey Mountain Lumber Co. The steering wheel works but is tight. 26" L x 8.5" W x 10" H.
