EARLY PAUL YSART (SCOTTISH, 1904-1979) DRAGONFLY AND BUTTERFLIES PAPERWEIGHT, encasement having a purple tint, decoration comprising a dragonfly with a cobalt blue body supporting amber and white stretched millefiori wings, flanked by two lampwork butterflies with amber and green and amber and blue wings having aventurine decoration, five spaced millefiori canes between insects, all encircled by a single ring of millefiori canes, signature cane located in the outer millefiori ring, all above a deep mottled amethyst ground, rough pontil mark.
