French oak side chair in the Louis XV taste, late 19th or early 20th century, having a crest rail centering a carved shell flanked by foliage above a shaped back with needlepoint upholstery depicting a blooming plant bordered by acanthus scrolls, over a serpentine seat upholstered in similar needlepoint half over the rails, the whole rising on cabriole legs terminating to scrolled feet, 37.5"h x 19.25"w x 21"d, seats 20"h.
