Grayhurst, London, a large, late 18th century doctors watch, key wind and set, gilt full plate verge fusee movement with Tompion regulator and hacking seconds, in a sterling silver pair case with London hallmark and date letter for the year 1797, signed white enamel dial with roman hours chapter overlapping a lower large seconds ring, blued steel hands, serial #1935, 64mm

CASE: Shallow dents, inner and outer cases; Fine scratches and minor abrasion; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Crystal with scratches and abrasion; Bow an incorrect replacement; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Fine scratches and short hairline at bottom. HANDS: Hour and minute are incorrect replacements; All hands with tinted coating. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches and pin pricks; Marring at pillar adjacent to balance cock; Some steel components with minor oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) ; Hacking functional.
