Disneyland "Pirates of the Caribbean" Prints Signed by Marc Davis Group of 3 (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean attraction was the last ride that Walt Disney was personally involved with. It debuted three months after his passing. Disney Legend Marc Davis (1913 – 2000), one of "Walt's Nine Old Men," created the artwork used to make this series of three Fine Art prints. The first is a Marc Davis Collector's Society exclusive that was sold at Disneyland. This print, with the image of a pirate aiming his flintlock while atop a canon, has been hand-signed by Marc Davis, his wife Alice, and by Xavier Atencio, who wrote the lyrics to the attraction's theme song, "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)". The print is in a custom mat, with an opening of 13.5" x 9.5" and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 21" x 17" (Please Note: the frame is sold as-is), and includes a 1998 Certificate of Authenticity, Society letter, and a Society Certificate made out to animation director Klay Hall (The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Planes). The second print, of pirates behind bars, is also hand-signed by Marc Davis; it's matted with an opening of 13.25" x 10.25", with an overall mat size of 20" x 16". The third and final print is titled "Jolly Roger" and is a limited edition, #35 of 5,000; it is hand-signed by Marc Davis as well, and measures 22" x 17", and comes rolled.
