An antique French gilt bronze mantel clock by L. Marti et Cie, and retailed by Howell, James & Co, London. Dial marked "Howell James & Co, To The Queen, London, Paris". Decorated with small enameled metal medallions and engravings. Movement marked with circular L. Marti maker's mark. Includes double sided key for winding and slow/fast adjustment. Chimes on hour and half hour. Condition: expected signs of age to finish and gilding, dial in in good shape, small chip to top edge of front glass crystal, clock winds and is currently running, no bell on movement, no back door on clock case, see images. Measures a total of 13.5" tall x 7.2" wide and 5.75" deep. Weight: 9.3 lbs.
