Provenance/Additional Info: Beautiful male ancestor figure of the KUSU tribe from D.R. Congo.
Kusu figures have the same kind of appearance as their Luba and Hemba counterparts. Typical of Kusu, however, the beard and cone-shaped top are meant to hold a magical charge to give the figure its power. The serene expression of the face and the fine beard characterize Kusu sculpture of standing male ancestors.

The stylish image has a powerful appearance. Nice old-age patina
Has clear traces of age and tribal use.
