Toy, Comic and Collectible Auction

Bruneau & Co. Auctioneers is proud to announce their second Toy, Comic, and Collectible auction in conjunction with Rhode Island Comic Con and host Travis Landry. The auction will take place Sunday, Nov 13th at RI Comic Con in the Rhode Island Convention Center, Fifth Floor, Rotunda Room. The auction starts at 3:00. The auction opens with an original pen, ink, and watercolor painting by Marvel Artist Mark Texeira, the work depicts a portrait of Stan Lee with Ghost Rider. The work is signed lower center and labeled on the verso “Painted by Mark Texeira, 2016”. The work will also be signed by Stan Lee prior to the auction at RICC . 100% percent of the proceeds will be donated to Providence Rhode Island’s Meeting Street School. After the opening lot the first portion of the sale will consist of 31 lots of Silver, Bronze, and Modern age raw and CBCS graded comics. Comic highlights include a Marvel Comics Tales of Suspense No. 39, the 1st appearance of Iron Man graded 1.5, D.C Comics Brave and The Bold No. 54, the 1st appearance and origin of the Teen Titans graded 7.0, Marvel Comics Incredible Hulk No. 4 graded a 5.0, Marvel Comics Incredible Hulk No. 5 graded 2.5, and D.C Comics Batman No. 181, the 1st appearance of Poison Ivy graded 5.0. The 2nd portion of the sale will consist of various vintage toys, novelties and trading cards opening with 15 lots of 1960’s non sport trading cards. Highlights include a 1966 Topps Green Hornet Sticker set complete with wax wrap. Vintage toy highlights include a group of 8 1978 Tomland 8” Star Raiders and a 1965 Takara-Hasbro Japanese import 12” G.I Joe.
