Featuring a multi estate auction of fresh to the market estate and consigned lots including several partial contents from Dutchess and Westchester Counties as well as items from the Estate of Bruce Anderson, well known antiques dealer. Session 1 starts at 5:00 PM and is Liveauctioneer.com enabled. Chinese and other Asian items start the sale followed by a group of fancy items and then the first of three blocks of Anderson's surrealist painting collection. A few religious items and 6 Taro Yamamoto artworks , antiquities and oddities and then another group of surrealist art. 18th and 19th century furniture pieces, carved marble pieces precede a nice collection of Tiffany crystal regulators and other timepieces and a Coke V-39 10 cent machine. 18th and 19th century oils led by a pair of trumeau mirrors with artwork in the style of Goya leads into a clean offering of mid century designed pieces by Henredon, McCobb, Springer, Eames, and others. No March sale would be complete without a selection of garden items and this sale is no exception. A few exceptional pieces will be included in the online session but quit a number of great pieces will be in session 2. Wrought and cast iron tables, urns, benches, planters, wicker and more held for this first spring sale will surpass several past years in scope. Carpets, clocks and the last block of online art will conclude session 1.
Session 2 is limited to in house, absentee and phone bids only and will include 400 lots. Several combined estates with lots of sterling flatware and hollowware, Steiff, antiquities and oddities, more clocks, more garden, large selection of Israeli silver coins, commemoratives, proof sets, etc, more furniture and art and another lot of Uncle Sam carvings and figurals will represent about half of the lots with 200 lots other interesting and unreserved items.
